Dear all,
Please note that this lunch & learn meeting of the AmCham Entrepreneurs committee will begin at 12:30pm on July 13, in the American Chamber of Commerce's Pacific conference room, on the 19th floor of the Bank of America Tower, 12 Harcourt Rd., Central. Buffet lunch and drinks will be provided. Five speakers will discuss how to use on-line auction sites to grow your business. They are: Rene Chu - eBay PowerSeller turned consultant, eBay tutor and book writer. She's continuously running classes to aspiring entrepreneurs on how to make money on eBay's international online trading platform, and this summer she's also publishing her third book on this very topic - her last two eBay books having sold over 10,000 copies in Hong Kong. In the meantime, Rene keeps up with her eBay online trading business, sourcing from trading companies and suppliers in Hong Kong and south China. Hades Kong/ Kam Law – these business partners tried their luck as entrepreneurs selling on eBay as part-timers while engaging in full-time day jobs. They tried selling various products until they found a market in jewellery, and that's what turned them into full time PowerSellers. They now also consult and give classes for aspiring entrepreneurs and SMEs who wish to explore the internet as a marketing distribution channel. Ryan Lai - University student turned entrepreneur and eBay PowerSeller. Ryan won the first eBay Hong Kong University e-Business Development Competition in 2006 and continued as an entrepreneur, trading on eBay part-time and running other projects at the same time - such as helping SMEs and entrepreneurs start online trading businesses. Eric Pong - director of Red Hare Limited, a full serve e-commerce consultancy that specializes in channel selling, marketing, and strategic planning. Red Hare helps businesses think globally about e-commerce and turns their websites into revenue-generating assets. As an entrepreneur and consultant, Eric has operated and guided the development of several eBay Platinum Powerseller businesses -- sellers with gross eBay sales of $1.8 M USD per year.
