When completed in 2015, Songdo, Korea will be one one of the largest integrated technology testbeds ever conceived where all information systems - residential, medical, business - are linked. Songdo International Business District is being built on 6.1 sq km of reclaimed land along the Yellow Sea in Incheon, South Korea. A US$35-billion project, Songdo IBD is a joint venture between Gale International and Posco Engineering & Construction. Songdo will be the home to 65,000 people and 300,000 will work there. It was also selected as a pilot project and partner by the US Green Building Council.
During the luncheon event, Chris Sausser, Executive Vice President, Gale International will outline the Firms aspirations for Songdo and explain the challenges in delivering the worlds largest private sector development project. He will also share what learnings his group will take from this process, to further development in the region.
Chris has been involved in commercial real estate for the last 29 years. His responsibilities include consulting for major clients on acquisitions and dispositions throughout the country. His diverse knowledge spans both sides of real estate assignments, including negotiating strategies, financial analysis, as well as design and construction issues. Prior to joining Gale Intenational Chris was a partner in the firm CRESA Partners (formerly The Staubach Company). Prior to Staubach Company, Chris served as Regional Director for the Corporate Services Group at Grubb & Ellis.
