A Closer Look at AIG and the Current Economy

In March 2005, Mr. Maurice R. Greenberg retired as Chairman and CEO of American International Group, Inc. (AIG). He is now the Chairman and CEO of C. V. Starr and Company. During his exclusive talk at AmCham, Mr. Greenberg will comment on the current economic conditions. Having previously been at the helm of AIG, he will also offer his insights on AIG's current situation.
Mr. Greenberg joined C. V. Starr and Company as Vice President in 1960 and was given the additional responsibilities of President of American Home Assurance Company in 1962. He was elected Director of C. V. Starr and Company in 1965, President and CEO in 1968 and Chairman and CEO in 2005.
Regarding Mr. Greenberg's appointment at AIG, he became President and Chief Executive Officer of the company in l967. Under his leadership AIG became the largest insurance company in the world and generated unprecedented value for AIG shareholders. During the nearly 40 years of his leadership, AIG's market value grew from $300 million to $l80 billion.

* All cancellations must be notified in writing at least two working days prior to the event, or six working days prior to the conference. No-shows will be charged.
* Faxed or mailed booking forms received without payment (check/cash) will be considered void, unless valid credit card details are given as guarantee. If payment is not received by 5pm the day after the event, the credit card on file will be charged automatically.
* When Typhoon 8 (or above) or Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted, all events will be cancelled.
