The US sub-prime crisis is causing bankers, policy-makers and regulators around the world to re-examine the appropriate mix of risk and return and balance between market innovation and regulation.
Mr. Andrew Cainey, Head of Booz & Company's Greater China Financial Services Practice, will share his perspectives on the lessons for China from the US sub-prime crisis. He will discuss the substantial benefits from continuing to expand credit in China to higher-risk customers in a sustainable way. He will draw both on the key lessons from the US and on success stories around the world to describe the business models and regulation that will be required to make this a success.
Mr. Cainey is based in Booz & Company's Shanghai and has been advising major financial institutions and policy-makers for over twenty years. He is also a frequent speaker and writer on these issues. He has an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Cambridge, an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School. |
