AmCham is governed by the Board of Governors (BOG) - a body elected by voting members. The BOG includes a chairman, vice chairman, treasurer, 5 vice presidents and 18 governors. The president is appointed by the Board and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Chamber. Over twenty active committees address a full range of commercial and sector issues.
AmCham's staff implement programs and services through the following departments: Administration, Accounting, China Desk, Membership Relations, Programs, Public Affairs and Publications.
