AmCham is encouraged to see the rapid response by the Hong Kong community and the Government's commitment in providing aid to provinces and municipalities in Mainland China that are greatly affected by the snowstorms. As of February 3rd, the Government's Disaster Relief Fund has approved six grants totaling HK$223 million to aid snowstorm victims. However, as recovery efforts continue to assist an estimated 78 million people, AmCham urges our members and the public to make a contribution in an effort to help those affected survive through the winter this year.
