The Tax Director of Deloitte Hong Kong will give an overview of the U.S. tax considerations and tax planning strategies, at a presentation to the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong this Friday. Connie Kwok, a Director at International Tax Services of Deloitte Hong Kong, will also cover topics including choice of entity, intermediary holding company, outbound contribution and capitalization during the formation stage; deemed dividend and passive foreign investment company issues during the operating stage; and the key U.S. tax compliance requirements. Connie has extensive experience in advising individuals and multinational corporations on cross-border tax issues involving U.S. inbound investments (Chinese/HK companies investing or doing business in the U.S.) and U.S. outbound investments, with focus in the Asia Pacific Region, especially Greater China.
