The Hong Kong Government has launched a nine-month public consultation on its proposed Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Facing financial and budgetary pressures, the Government suggests collecting a tax on all goods and services but intends to provide tax refunds to visitors. What would be the effect on the purchasing power of Hong Kong residents? How would a GST affect Hong Kong's economy?

Four eminent panelists will debate the merits and disadvantages of Hong Kong's proposed GST tax during this meeting. Take the opportunity to develop and contribute your views. If you're unsure, this compelling discussion will help you decide. If you're already decided, this lively and timely event is sure to galvanize you into action.
