Based on a recent American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI) members survey, two out of three top importers-exporters have a global trade compliance program. During the last five years, the top three global trade responsibilities undertaken by the respondents' trade compliance department are:
  • Coordinating domestic and international trade compliance programs (82.4 percent)
  • Leveraging trade security for trade compliance (79.4 percent)
  • Developing corporate resources supporting global trade compliance (70.6 percent)

Ms. Marianne Rowden, General Counsel and interim Executive of the AAEI help you better understand why it is forward - thinking to develop your own global trade compliance program. She will also address the industry's current situation, and where it needs to be in the increasingly vital area of global trade facilitation and compliance. You will have the opportunity to view the results of the AAEI survey on importing and exporting issues.
