About China Affairs Department China Affairs Department is an executive workforce designated to formulate and implement AmCham’s overall China Agenda. Led by the Board & the China Affairs Group and coordinated with Chamber’s Government Relations/Public Affairs Department, Publication Department and all Chamber Committees, China Affairs Department is dedicated to reinforce Hong Kong as a “gateway into China” and also a “gateway out of China.” The two major goals of China Affairs Department in 2010 are 1) to inform AmCham members broadly about business developments and opportunities in Mainland China and 2) to assist member companies to interface effectively with Chinese companies that are trying to go international. In order to achieve the goals, the Department has planned the following programs and activities.
China Affairs Programs and Activities:
China Delegation To participate in conferences and events in various provinces and cities with up-to-date Chinese development themes; to arrange Chinese leadership meetings and company site visits to deepen members’ knowledge on China’s investment policies and environment in different parts of China.
Business Briefing Program To assist AmCham membership professional service providers to interface with and provide general “know-how” to Chinese companies planning to go global, so as to enlarge our members’ customer/client base.
Network Strengthening To expand AmCham members’ business network by recruiting Chinese company members with presence in Hong Kong looking to expand overseas.
China Accessibility To provide members with fast track services for China visa and travel arrangements into Mainland China.
