April 7, 2008, Hong Kong – The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Queenie Woon-Yi Li to the position of Member Relations Manager and the successful completion of the probation period for Mr. Michael Young, Sales and Marketing Assistant, both are serving in the Business Development Department of the Chamber.
In her new position, Ms. Li will be responsible for enhancing and managing member relations as well as operating the overall member services. Ms. Li joined AmCham in August 1980, and has worked on membership affairs throughout her tenure at AmCham. Prior to joining AmCham, she spent two years at Maersk Line HK Ltd and before that, she worked for Groupil Laboratories Ltd.
Ms. Li was educated in Hong Kong and speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Mr. Michael Young has successfully concluded his probation period at AmCham since December 2007 and is now permanent staff as Sales and Marketing Assistant. Mr. Young has the primary responsibilities of identifying sales opportunities and assisting in implementing marketing strategies.
Mr. Young started his career at Specialty Homes, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006, as Temporary Office Manager. He has worked as an intern at Joseph International (HK) Ltd. Hong Kong and as a summer assistant with Kowloon Canton Rail Corporation Hong Kong.
Mr. Young is a 2005 graduate of Goizueta Business School, Emory University, Atlanta, GA. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.
