Washington, DC Doorknock
Every year, AmCham leads a delegation of senior business leaders to meet with the US Executive Branch and Congressional leaders in Washington, DC to advocate on behalf of Americans abroad and providing insights from a Hong Kong perspective. This year’s trip will be held on the week of June 10, 2012 . Highlights of some of the topics that will be raised at this year’s Door-Knock will include: • Hong Kong’s role as a key “gateway” for international businesses wanting enter China as well as a platform for Chinese businesses wanting to go global; • Support for President Obama’s National Export Initiative (NEI) and the important correlations between trade and job creation; • Taxation of American citizens abroad; and • US-China trade relations.
