Optimizing Industrial Building Use Under New Guidelines

The 2009-2010 Policy Address by Chief Executive Donald Tsang aimed at optimizing the use of industrial buildings for six specific industries: educational services, medical services, testing and certification services, environmental industries, innovation and technology, and cultural and creative industries. Mr. Lau will provide indicative financial assessments to show how different types of owners of these buildings might benefit. He will also address how occupiers (both industrial and non-industrial use) in existing industrial buildings might be impacted and what opportunities this initiative presents for the future addition to the Hong Kong¡¦s existing office stock.


Mr. Lau is a chartered general practice surveyor with over 23 years¡¦ property experience in
Hong Kong, the PRC and the Asian region, specializing in valuation, investment and development site sales and property development. He is the Head of the Valuation Advisory Services Department of Jones Lang LaSalle Hong Kong and is an International Director of the firm with responsibility for the Asia valuation and advisory business.

* Membership is on an individual basis. Non-members can only attend at non-member price.
* All cancellations must be notified in writing at least two working days prior to the event, or six working days prior to the conference. No-shows will be charged.
* Faxed or mailed booking forms received without payment (check/cash) will be considered void, unless valid credit card details are given as guarantee. If payment is not received by 5pm the day after the event, the credit card on file will be charged automatically.
* When Typhoon 8 (or above) or Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted, all events will be cancelled.
