Lunch and Learn Workshop: Dealing with Difficult People

Eric Sampson, Executive Consultant, Connect Communication

Learn how to identify and handle difficult people, as well as resolve difficult conversations and issues arising from dealing with those people.

Dealing with ‘emotional vampires’ is inevitable in everybody’s career life. Unfortunately still, it is never an easy task. This seminar will help you understand why some people are difficult, and more importantly show you how to confront them by learning about:
¡½ four major types of difficult people
¡½ undesirable behavioral and personality attributes
¡½ four effective ways to meet difficult people head-on
¡½ a six-step approach to tackle difficult one-on-one conversations
¡½ techniques in handling complaints and sensitive issues

Mr. Eric Sampson was born, raised and educated in Hong Kong. He migrated to New Zealand in 1979 and returned to Hong Kong after a 14-year banking career with the Commercial Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation. A specialist in communication and presentation skills training, he offers training to sales and marketing professionals in areas such as relationship building, effective selling, overcoming objections and delivering excellent customer service.
