Visiting Congressional Delegation

* John Conyers (D-Mich)
* Diane Watson (D-Calif.)
* Eni Faleomavaega (D-American Samoa)

The visiting members of Congress are John Conyers (D-Mich), Diane Watson, (D-Calif.) and Eni Faleomavaega (D-American Samoa).
Representatives Conyers, Watson and Faleomavaega will speak with us about the political landscape in Washington after the election. Their visit also provides AmCham members with a rare opportunity to carry your views back to Washington on the impact of changing U.S. law and regulations upon expatriates working overseas.
Representative John Conyers, Jr., is the second-most senior member in the House of Representatives. He is the current chair of the House Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction over copyright, constitutional, consumer protection, and civil rights issues. Representative Conyers was one of the 13 founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and is considered dean of that group.
Representative Diane E. Watson is a member of the House Committee on International Relations and serves on the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Human Rights and International Operations and the Subcommittee on International Terrorism and Non-proliferation. She is also a member of Committee on Government Reform and its Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy and Human Resources. She is the ranking member of the Government Reform Committee's Subcommittee on Energy and Commerce. She also serves as Democratic regional whip for southern California.
Representative Eni Faleomavaega has represented American Samoa in Congress since 1989 and is a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He is a former lieutenant governor and deputy attorney general of American Samoa.
AmCham Hong Kong is pleased to host this opportune meeting with congressional representatives and hopes you will be able to take part in this important dialogue.
Pastries, coffee and tea will be provided.
