On Jan 26, AmCham hosted Ms. Phyllis Li, Deputy Director of Planning / Territorial, Planning Department to brief about HKSAR Government’s recent public engagement exercise “Hong Kong 2030+ Towards a Planning Vision and Strategy Transcending 2030”, a territorial development strategy that will shape the built and natural environment of Hong Kong beyond 2030. You are cordially invited to share your views to AmCham before Feb 24 for consideration of inclusion in the Chamber’s submission.

AmCham submits that HKSAR Government should adopt a collaborative mindset and approach to devise and implement Smart City initiatives. To ensure comprehensive planning and implementation, it is necessary for the Administration to set up a high-level authority to coordinate and formulate integrated policies. The submission also outlined specific best practices, which have already been proven effective by other cities, that are crucial to the success of a Smart City

A 16-member team of business executives representing AmCham Hong Kong travels to Washington DC for a series of discussions with US government officials and elected representatives as well as key personnel of various think tanks and international agencies on a broad spectrum of relevant issues on behalf of US businesses and members of the Chamber.
