FedEx has had a presence in Hong Kong since 1984. In 1992, FedEx located its Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. In its bid to better serve customers in the region, FedEx opened its new Asia Pacific hub in Guangzhou, southern China in February 2009, its South Pacific regional hub in Singapore in October 2012, and its North Pacific regional hub in Osaka, Japan in April 2014.
With about 29,000 employees in the region, FedEx currently serves more than 30 countries and territories in the Asia Pacific market with more than 400 flights per week to major destinations in Asia, the U.S. and Europe.
